We will be mapping this day, come out and help or come for a ride. Leaving Grace Lake at 9:45 am Sunday, May 27th

Just to make this a bit clearer; the idea here is for small groups ( 2 or 3 ) to head out from Grace lake to specific areas. I will provide one or two large scale reference maps showing the exact location of each (highlighted) trail that each group needs to run. We just need you to turn your GPS on at the start of each assigned trail, and turn it off at the end, with no backtracking. I will try to arrange it so that each group gets a decent ride as well. At the end of the day we download your SD card onto a single USB device and then transfer the map data onto the "master" map database. We will need to spend a bit of time before heading out to make sure everyone has the appropriate settings on their GPS so that we have good clean tracks for the gov cartographers to use.
The "field maps" each group will get include Km measurements up Harrison West fsr so it will be very easy to find assigned trails . What better way to actually find out where the good ones are?

New trail East of Walian. Nice wooded area and dirt base instead of creekbed.

Continuation of new trail...hopefully to Mystery and on to Chehalis North. Next work party.

Mapping on Sunday went well. Figured out the procedure for the next group so we can move forward and finish this once we have full access.
Snow is melting quick and we should have some great new trails for the August long weekend Poker Ride.
